  • Very dense conifers overhanging pathway, shrubs and brambles overhanding pathway, 29th August
The properties on the top of Werneth Road and Longmoor Road Simmondley all have gardens which back on to Simmondley New Road, a large number of them have brambles and bushes growing through the rear fences, causing the footpath to become obstructed. Some of the conifers have been cut in such a way they are covering all of the footpath, but leaving height for pedestrians to walk under, these have now grown and you have to duck to be able to walk under without conifers brushing your head. Pennine Road Simmondley, before the junction with Longmoor Road, there are a few houses with shrubs to the front of their properties which have grown into the footpath by at least three feet. Coupled with cars parking on the pavement, it means I have to walk around the cars in the middle of the road to be able to pass.
