  • Lack of notice re roadworks, 31st March
Many people turn left at the bottom of Nottingham Drive to drive towards Chesterfield. I did so last week and then found that the roadworks near the Avenue had resumed after a short break. It would be helpful if there was a sign at the bottom of Nottingham Drive alerting drivers to roadworks ahead, so that they could find alternative routes (eg Longedge Lane)

  • Street light flashing going out, 30th March
Over the past two nights the street light situated along the alleyway from Gayton Road through to Manners Industrial Estate is flickering constantly. It then goes out for a while then comes on and starts flickering again. This is beside two houses and shines directly into upstairs rooms. It is the street light closer to the Gayton Road end of the alleyway, the one at the bottom does not appear to have a problem at the moment. I noticed this this morning and it has continued as the lights have come on this evening. Thank you....
